As I lay me down to dream…

60.00

ONE OF a kind (OOAK) collectible hand-painted stone.

THIS STONE began as a seascape - with a moon jellyfish, an angelfish, several starfish, and some pebbles and shells. But it wasn’t really working for me - too many small things competing for space on a small stone and too small for the details I wanted to integrate to really capture their essence. So I half-wiped them away, starting anew with the intriguing blend of colours and shapes they left behind.

👈🏻 THIS IS the result.

EACH SEASON is depicted in a sort of surreal dreamscape: starting with autumn in the bottom left, earthy and harvest-like; which mirrors up and across into winter in the top right, frosty and shimmering, berry-decked; reflecting down to spring in the bottom right, lush, green and pink, firefly flowers and butterfly hearts, delicately drifting; mirroring across into summer in the top left, the early evening sky an August ocean, strange neon shapes drifting like dreams tethered to the horizon. There are flowers reminiscent of jellyfish, trees like floating seaweed, and creatures that hint at worlds unknown. It feels magical and dreamlike.

🌝 PRAYER FOR THE DREAMING

As I lay me down to dream,
I journey far on starlit streams.
With angels near and moon’s soft glow,
Guide my soul where whispers flow.

Through seas of stars and skies untold,
To places where the heart is bold.
In gentle hands, my spirit keep,
Through realms of magic, wild and deep.

Let shadows fade and fears take flight,
Wrapped in the warmth of dream’s soft light.
Awake me gently, safe and sound,
With morning’s glow and peace unbound.

THIS STONE is a dreamer’s stone, born to awaken your mind to the possibilities of time travel, astral projection, soul wandering and spiritual journeying. It was designed to take you to far off places - places you’d like to visit, places you’d like to revisit, places you need to experience in order to better-understand your life in this realm - it’s purpose to be your anchor, the thread that keeps you connected so that you might explore without fear of ever losing your way.

HAVE YOU ever woken from a powerful dream, feeling disconnected and unsettled for the rest of the day? Or felt as though part of you lingered behind, trapped in a nightmare, caught in its emotions? Have vivid events, interactions, or messages, ever haunted you, compelling you to unravel their meaning? Dreams are gifts—an oracle of guidance when explored, or a source of torment when ignored. Recurring nightmares carry messages, and persistent patterns urge us to pay attention. Dreams are powerful forces: a wise guides, spiritual advisors, and personal sages, leading us if we choose to listen.

👇🏻 SO WHAT are dreams?

AT THEIR core, dreams are the mind’s way of processing information, reflecting our deepest desires and struggles, offering up creative solutions. On a deeper level, they connect us to a higher power, providing strength and guidance. Blending science and spirit, dreams reveal truths, offer wisdom, and connect us to universal energy. Whether as warnings or wisdom, dreams guide our futures.

👉🏻 WHAT DREAMS would you like to create?
👉🏻 WHAT NIGHTMARES would you like to leave behind?

👆🏻 I HOPE you find as much pleasure in gazing into this stone as I did in creating it.

INSPIRED BY: long walks through forests and farmland, day trips to the sea, and the ever-enchanting turn of the seasons. It also reminds me of Pandora from the film Avatar – a place I would very much like to live if the choosing of such a place were possible.
