I have always loved animals. I love animals more than anything. Animals enchant me, fascinate me, enrich me. Whenever I see an animal, I light up and my whole day is lifted. If I see a baby animal, I’m literally having the best day ever, no joke. My idea of Heaven would be a warm climate and beautiful garden full of baby animals, with lots of chihuahuas thrown in. Lots…
I have always had companion animals, ever since I was a child. I do not know life without them. Be it a goldfish, hamster, rabbit, cat or dog….. they make my world a better place. And my animals are my babies, my children, and are afforded a life equal to that. They are rarely, if ever, left alone, and they come out with me everywhere. They eat freshly made food, similar to but not exactly the same as me. They sleep in the bed. They really do have a very nice life. And in return, the love that they give, and the loyalty… is unmatched. I would do anything for them.
This is why I love to try to immortalise them - on paper, on canvas, on fabric, on stone; so that afterwards I will be left with a lasting memory. And these memories have provided so much comfort and support over the years, when they are swept up to Heaven far too early.
If you have a pet that you love and adore, whether living or passed over, I would love to try to paint for you their portrait. It will be in my unique magical-fantasy world style, rather than an exact rendition, but I will be sure to capture the essence of their character. All you need to do is contact me with a query and a photo and we can get to discussing the exact criteria.
Alternatively, you can buy one of my portraits already done and claim them as a pet.
I hope that you will find as much pleasure from gazing into my stones and to tending to them as I do painting them.
WHAT TO DO?
1. After you have checked out, send me an email via the CONTACT page with your mobile number and I will reach out to you via email or WhatsApp.
2. Find the photo of your pet that you would like me to base my portrait on and when I contact you I will request that you send it on over.
3. If you have requested “My interpretation”, I will paint you my take on your pet. If you have requested “We co-create”, we can work together to discuss things like background colour or theme, tweaks you might like to make to the photo - like giving your cat purple eyes, a mischievous smile, etc.
