ONE OF a kind (OOAK) collectible hand-painted stone, made with Schleich rabbit.
ALICE IN Wonderland was one of my favourite childhood classics. The characters and the magic of it both fascinated and enchanted me. I especially liked the White Rabbit, Alice herself, and the Queen of Hearts, although the Queen kind of terrified me.
THIS STONE is inspired by both the novel and the Disney movie, as well as playing cards - with the red on white and the black on white, and a love of bunny rabbits. Believe it or not, I used to have a house rabbit, who was just the most dear and delightful companion and who I still miss to this day, 18 years later.
THE IMAGES on this stone are a bit psychedelic, like the strange dreamlike trip that Alice went on. Was it real? Or was it not? Who is to say? And I like that in the novel Lewis Carroll was making a comment on the world and on society and how no matter how much we might like to, we just canβt make sense of it all. In a crazy world, this is my attempt to pin down some sort of order and logic and hold it there.
* I HOPE that you will find as much pleasure from gazing into my stones as I do in creating them.
